Flock Safety and Stord raised two of Atlanta’s largest AI rounds of 2026. Flock Safety, which makes AI-powered cameras and license plate readers for police departments, told Fortune it raised $500 million at an $8.3 billion valuation. Stord, a fulfillment and logistics platform with its own AI and robotics lab, raised a $250 million Series F at a $3 billion valuation in May. The largest sums in this guide went to compute, though, as debt. The data center operator DC BLOX closed a $1.15 billion green loan in August 2025, and the GPU cloud provider QumulusAI signed a financing facility of up to $500 million two months later.

This guide covers the AI companies based in metro Atlanta that raised money in 2025 and 2026, what they build, the debt behind the city’s data center buildout, and the local investors and programs behind the startups.

Notable Atlanta AI funding in 2025

Ranked bars of notable 2025 funding announcements by Atlanta AI companies: Flock Safety 275 million dollars, Airia 100 million from its co-founder (50 million invested, 50 million committed), Codoxo 35 million, Sema4.ai 25 million, PlayerZero, ketteQ and Softwear Automation 20 million each, and AdPipe 12 million.

Flock Safety’s $275 million in March 2025, led by Andreessen Horowitz, was the largest 2025 round in this list, and Hypepotamus reported that it valued the company at $7.5 billion. Airia’s $100 million in September 2025 came from its co-founder John Marshall, who also co-founded AirWatch. He has invested $50 million and committed another $50 million. Airia sells software to secure and govern how large companies use AI.

Below those two sits a run of Series A to Series C rounds for AI software:

  • Codoxo, based in Duluth, raised a $35 million Series C led by CVS Health Ventures in December 2025 for its AI tools that help health plans catch billing errors and fraud.
  • Sema4.ai added a $25 million Series A extension in June 2025 for its enterprise AI agent platform, which runs inside Snowflake.
  • PlayerZero launched in July 2025 with a $15 million Series A led by Foundation Capital and a $5 million seed round. It predicts software failures before code ships.
  • ketteQ raised a $20 million Series B led by Vocap Partners in August 2025 for AI supply chain planning.
  • Softwear Automation raised a $20 million Series B-1 led by the fashion group BESTSELLER in August 2025. Its sewing robots combine machine vision and machine learning.
  • AdPipe raised a $12 million Series A led by LGVP in September 2025 for AI video software used by enterprise brands.

Notable Atlanta AI funding in 2026

Ranked bars of notable 2026 funding announcements by Atlanta AI companies through September: Flock Safety 500 million dollars at an 8.3 billion dollar valuation, Stord 250 million Series F, American Growth Insurance almost 70 million of launch backing, MountainSeed 38 million, Gridline 18.5 million and Axle 17.5 million.

Fortune reported in August 2026 that Flock Safety had told it in April that the company had raised $500 million at an $8.3 billion valuation, had taken in $1.2 billion in total, and had passed $500 million in annual recurring revenue in the first half of 2026. Stord’s $250 million Series F came in May, led by existing investors and including Strike Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund and Baillie Gifford. Stord runs a lab at its Atlanta headquarters that builds agentic AI and robotics for warehouses.

The other 2026 funding went to finance and insurance companies building AI into their products:

  • American Growth Insurance launched in July with almost $70 million of backing from Rockbridge Growth Equity and the venture firm Atomic. It is building an AI-enabled platform for the insurance brokerages it partners with.
  • MountainSeed, which sells appraisal and valuation software to community banks, took a $38 million growth investment from Long Ridge Equity Partners in July to build AI products.
  • Gridline raised an $18.5 million Series A led by FINTOP in January for its private-markets platform and its AI due diligence tool, AltComply.
  • Axle, which describes itself as an AI clearinghouse for insurance, raised a $17.5 million Series A led by Base10 Partners in August.

Data center and GPU financing

Ranked bars of debt financings by Atlanta compute companies: DC BLOX 1.15 billion dollar green loan in August 2025, DC BLOX credit facility expanded to 850 million in May 2026, QumulusAI financing facility of up to 500 million in October 2025, DC BLOX 240 million holdco financing in January 2026, and QumulusAI 90 million in convertible note facilities in 2026.

The largest AI-related financings in this guide were debt for compute. DC BLOX, an Atlanta data center operator, closed a $1.15 billion green loan in August 2025 to build a data center campus in Douglas County designed for cloud and AI workloads. It then took $240 million in holdco financing from Global Infrastructure Partners, the BlackRock subsidiary, in January 2026, and in May 2026 expanded its green credit facility to $850 million from the $265 million it set up in 2024.

QumulusAI, a GPU cloud provider, signed a non-recourse financing facility of up to $500 million in October 2025 that lets it borrow up to 70% of the cost of approved GPU deployments. In 2026 it added two $45 million convertible note facilities from ATW Partners, in April and in June, and then listed on Nasdaq through a direct listing in July.

Microsoft is building here too. It switched on its Fairwater AI datacenter in Atlanta in October 2025, the second site in its Fairwater family.

For context on the wider market, Avison Young reported that Atlanta companies across all sectors received a record $3.0 billion in venture funding in 2025. For how Atlanta compares with other US metros, see Bot Memo’s AI startup funding by city breakdown.

Payments and finance software

Georgia’s nickname in payments is Transaction Alley. A 2020 post by the Technology Association of Georgia said Georgia fintech companies handle two-thirds of all US payment transactions. Global Payments, Equifax and NCR Voyix all have their headquarters in Atlanta.

That base shows in the 2026 list: American Growth Insurance, MountainSeed, Gridline and Axle all work in banking, wealth management or insurance. Atlanta payments companies that do not center their products on AI also kept raising, so they sit outside the AI charts above: Speedchain closed $111 million in equity and debt in September 2025 for its construction spend management cards, and Rainforest raised a $29 million Series B for embedded payments in September 2025. For the national picture, see Bot Memo’s top AI fintech startups.

Georgia Tech, health and security

Georgia Tech runs the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), which has worked with Georgia startups since 1980 and says it supports more than 150 tech companies across six locations. Pindrop, which detects voice fraud in call centers, was founded in Atlanta in 2011 by Vijay Balasubramaniyan, Paul Judge and Georgia Tech professor Mustaque Ahamad.

The CDC is headquartered in Atlanta next to Emory University, and health AI shows up in the funding list through companies that sell to health plans and providers, such as Codoxo. For more companies in these categories, see Bot Memo’s top AI healthcare startups and top AI cybersecurity startups.

Established Atlanta software companies

The newer AI companies sit on top of an older group of Atlanta software firms that reached large scale:

  • Calendly, the scheduling software company, was valued at $3 billion when it raised $350 million in January 2021.
  • Salesloft, the sales software company, combined with Clari and in September 2026 took the Salesloft name for the merged business, which sells forecasting and conversation intelligence to sales teams.
  • OneTrust, headquartered in Atlanta, sells privacy, consent and AI governance software.
  • Greenlight, the family banking app, raised a $260 million round led by Andreessen Horowitz in April 2021 at a $2.3 billion valuation.
  • Mailchimp, founded in Atlanta in 2001, agreed to sell to Intuit for about $12 billion in 2021.

Who invests in Atlanta AI startups

Local firms active in early rounds include TTV Capital, an early-stage fintech investor that backed Speedchain; Tech Square Ventures, which invests in enterprise software and joined Rainforest’s Series B; Atlanta Ventures, which runs a venture studio and an early-stage fund and joined AdPipe’s Series A; Knoll Ventures, which leads pre-seed and seed rounds in B2B software; and BIP Ventures, which invests in technology and tech-enabled services companies.

Engage is an Atlanta program that connects startups with corporate partners such as Delta, Home Depot, Coca-Cola, Cox Enterprises and UPS. It also took part in AdPipe’s Series A.

Several of the larger rounds were led by investors based outside Georgia. Andreessen Horowitz led Flock Safety’s 2025 round, Foundation Capital led PlayerZero’s Series A, and CVS Health Ventures led Codoxo’s Series C. Stord’s Series F was led by existing investors, and the round included Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund and Baillie Gifford.
